The Tapestry

The Tapestry

The world and Life will often frustrate us when we discover we are not in control after all, be it of our own lives or the lives of others. Grief, discouragement, and failure flummox our plans.

There is an insight that surfaces from time to time from those who seek to comfort the beset individual:

Life is like a tapestry that is large, beautiful, and intricate. In this life we can only see the tapestry from the back. All of the dark colors and loose threads seem chaotic and incoherent, making no sense. When we die and meet God He turns the tapestry over and we can finally see the design woven in beauty and balance.

I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope. Jeremiah 29:11

It is not in our plans that we can trust. Rather, let us cling to God’s Will and His Divine plan for us all.

It is a sad thing indeed for me to trust my own thoughts and knowledge. I have to remind myself daily to leave it to God and trust!

So comforting knowing we can trust God's plans for us!

Matthew 5:16 So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
