He is coming: Advent

Advent is our time of preparation to celebrate Christ's Birth and also to anticipate His Second Coming to bring us into His Kingdom. Let us prepare for Him by relearning and practicing the Virtues of our Faith, the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Man's Vocation: Life in the Spirit: The Dignity of the Human Person: The Virtues.
Question 390: What are the fruits of the Holy Spirit?
The fruits of the Holy Spirit are perfections formed in us as the first fruits of eternal glory.
The tradition of the Church lists twelve of them:
  • charity
  • joy
  • peace
  • patience
  • kindness
  • goodness
  • generosity
  • gentleness
  • faithfulness
  • modesty
  • self-control, and
  • chastity (Galatians 5:22-23, Vulgate)
CCC #1832
Let us seek to become more like Jesus in this quiet time of waiting.

Every day it is my goal to be as Christ like as I can.

Matthew 5:16 So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
