On this anniversary of Roe v. Wade I should like to offer praise: Praise for our dear young people who brave the frigid cold of DC to march against the most hideous murder of preborn children. Young, old, Jewish, Catholic, Protestant... so very many united on one issue...abortion is murder.

Thousands upon thousands descend upon our nation's capitol, upon San Francisco, indeed upon major cities across the USA to speak for the victims who cannot speak for themselves. May God bless them all as they seek to stop the genocide of our unborn children. May God grant success to them as they teach that the mothers are victims too...victims of a greedy abortion industry that does not tell them of the years of depression and suffering that follow this procedure. That adoption is a wonderful alternative for mothers in distress. That ALL individuals have the constitutional right to life, even the preborn individuals. God bless them. God help them. God have mercy upon them.

Watching the African American preacher at the Pro Life march, I was thrilled...he delivered a fire and brimstone message that electrified the marchers. It was the old fashioned, pulpit-thumping kind of sermon that we do not hear nor see too much of in a Catholic parish. Yet it is exactly the kind of sermon we need to hear and much more. He shook off Catholic convention and bluntly addressed the issue: abortion is murder. The mothers are victims too. Animal activists protest animal cruelty and ignore the greatest cruelty of all...abortion. The truck with the picture of the dismembered preborn is impounded by a politically correct and liberal establishment....

I do not recall this man's name but may God bless his message. I know Bld. Mother Teresa of Calcutta would have appreciated his pulpit-thumping energy. She too was blunt, energetic and unafraid to shame the liberals, the promoters of the culture of death.
"But I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a direct war, a direct killing, direct murder by the mother herself." When she said that, Bill and Hillary Clinton sat in silence while all around them stood, cheered and applauded this tiny dynamo from the slums of Calcutta.

Abortionists target the poor, the helpless, the desperate...and they make a mighty profit from this crisis. The liberals see it as a neat and tidy way to balance the budget...abort future welfare recipients and make a profit in the process.

Let us thump our pulpits more. Let us storm the streets with our prayers and flood the nation with the message: abortion is murder. Euthanasia is murder. Let us go to the pregnancy crisis centers and help mothers make a life decision. We too, can be silent no more.
