She smiled a big smile. I wonder that no one seems to tell our young people these things anymore? Or maybe they do but they listen instead to shallow friends?
Some of the most beautiful people in the world wear no makeup, have patched clothing and yet, you see true beauty in their eyes. Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, with her wrinkles and irregular features would never be a cover model by the standards of the fashion industry ... yet she has appeared countless times in books, magazine covers and won the Nobel prize.
Jesus danced in her eyes. Let us seek His Way so that we too, can have Jesus dance in our eyes and witness to true beauty.
James 1:11 11
For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.

Beauty inside is so much more beautiful than outside beauty and lasts longer too!
Oh Amen... to both you and Michelle :)
Us ladies are lied to by Hollywood and the world around us to the point that if we don't wear make up and highlight our hair and tan and get plastic surgery, we just are sloppy and don't care about ourselves.
What a bunch of vanity I tell ya!
Our outside is going to get old and wrinkly no matter what we do to it.
It's our inside that should be shining with the love of the Lord.
His passion in our lives is what makes us beautiful on the outside :)
Oh glory be! :)
Great post & blog...
Praise God for you being there at that moment.
I am new to your site, but am very grateful. I have searched for women who can teach and inspire on this journey of mine. I desire deep down to be plain, but my husband is not there and I do what I can with simplifying our home.
You are right when you speak of the world and how it bombards. Those that don't understand almost ridicule in an accusaional way when inquiring about why I don't work, or why do I wear dresses all the time. Sometimes I get caught up in trying to explain in defense. It's refreshing to read about your life and to know, be it God's will, that I too may experience the way my soul is longing for.
I look forward to reading about your journey.
God's peace to you ~
Mrs. Dee Peterson
