Overheard: A teen, commenting on my rosary and kapp was telling a friend that I am a "Hard Core Catholic".
"Thank you for that compliment," I told him sincerely.
He looked puzzled. So I quoted to him Revelations 3:13-16
13 '"Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
14 "To the angel of the church in Laodicea, write this: " 'The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the source of God's creation, says this:
15 "I know your works; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot.
16 So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
Then I said, "That is why we should all be Hard Core Catholics. Because Jesus prefers it and it is for our own good so that we will not be spit out."
The young man was very quiet and very thoughtful as I left. May God touch his heart and may he respond well to God's graces in his life.
That's me away then.

That was very good of you to turn that around and teach a lesson. God bless you. May I be seen also as hard core in my walk with Christ. My father always told my husband and I that we were just to much into this religious stuff. I told him it could never be enough.
