New Means to Old Habits

Clutter Collectors. Tis what we all are. When I first entered the internet world, information mad me went hog wild collecting all sorts of skivvers and scoobies. When I wore out one printer printing out all that "necessary" information, I stopped myself: it had become yet another way of "clipping articles" for that sad little self who wanted to be prepared rather than trust in God. Now I download a pdf or other tidbit into a Word doc and store it on the computer. Once a year, usually February, I go through and delete all those files I used once or never used. It sure saved the cash and cleared the clutter for me.

It also brought an epiphany: the world's information does have a "sell by" date. It becomes outdated, useless. Only the wisdom of God is permanently useful and valuable. Our broken selves simply become savvy at new ways of clutter to feed the need of our insecurities and so. We cannot run away from the fact that we must ultimately abandon ourselves to trust in Divine Providence.
That's me away.

I really appreciated this article. I will start working to declutter, it really is better to purge things that are not needed from our lives. :)
