Another time of waiting

We are awaiting the steady warm weather for planting. The seedlings have sprouted tall in their little green houses. The young chicks are huddled under the warming lamps and the pets sleep contentedly next to the wood stove while stews simmer gently on top and sweeten the air in the home.

The bees have refuged in their hives again to wait out the recent cold snap. As the weather warms they scatter far and wide for the pollen from the blossoming trees and flowers. They are gathering, preparing and working assiduously to become a strong community ready to fulfill their mission in life.

Now we are working into Holy Week, the most important Week in Christianity. The Week that saves the human race if we but accept the Gift. Keeping this brief, I wish all a most blessed and spiritually fruitful time of prayer during the Holy Triduum.
We must learn to arrange very cautiously a proper time, and when the voice is to open the mouth prudently, and also to arrange wisely the time when silence is to close it.
Pope St. Gregory the Great (540-590AD) on Conversation

That's me away then.

Waiting to me is a wonderful thing. Learning to be calm and quiet, just waiting for the right time whether it be planting or a dozen other things.
My squash plant is getting big and tall. Waiting on the watermelon and cucumber.
