Being much older than 45 I have discovered through an article that Twitter has its own lingo. This was bound to happen in our digital age. After all in my day, we had our own idioms and lingo in both the spoken and written language.
Apparently #YOLO means "You only live once" (in my day we said "oy vey" with the voice going upwards at the vey).
The writer suggested that Catholic Tweeters use #YOLOL4G: "You only live once live for God."
Then he gives an example of St. Francis' take on this modern lingo:
”Hold back nothing of yourselves for yourselves so that He Who gives Himself totally to you may receive you totally.”
STELLAR! All those prayers and lessons for the younger generation are working. God finds a way to reach every generation with every kind of communication.
Even as a Plain Catholic I do manage to stay up on most things... IF I happen across them in my busy homestead life.
No, I shall not Tweet.
No, I shall not Text.
Oh aye, I do turn off my mobile at Mass.

The lingo stumps me at times. Me thinks my brain is to slow anymore.
I wonder if there is anyone called LOL. She seems to be very popular!
