Plain Catholic women wear dresses. We are often "told" how impractical they are. Yet Plain Catholic women can do anything a woman in pants can do. In fact, our non-Catholic neighbor tells us we do more. We climb on roofs to repair them in our dresses; we muck out barns in our dresses; and we have been known to go running in our dresses. We even wear a modified dress for swimming. A dress is cooler in summer and warmer in winter because the layers can be added or subtracted easily.
Below is a picture from the Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Church Facebook page. The Sister is in full habit with a wimple and is rock climbing. Proof positive that with the right mindset we can do anything we set out to do.
Here is what the habit looks like without the climbing gear

Prayer joined to sacrifice constitutes the most powerful force in human history.
St. John Paul II
I have a mustard seed; and I am not afraid to use it. (Habeo granum sinapis quod uti non timeo)
Pope Benedict XVI
But I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a direct war, a direct killing, direct murder by the mother herself."
St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta

I do believe there is not a thing I can't do in my dress. I did all manner of repairs and gardening, etc when we owned our home.
