We arise and we pray.
We work and we pray.
We go to bed and pray.
A day hemmed in prayer does not unravel as a popular saying tells us.
Prayer is powerful; sacrifice and prayer is the most powerful force in human history according to St. John Paul II.
Why is it so simple and yet so hard to do? Is it because we feel the need to see results? Prayers can take years to be answered but pray we must. Perseverance and patience in prayer is an alliterative way to remember this.
So let us persevere in prayer and not be swayed by pressure to see results. To paraphrase some adverts:
Prayer: don't leave home without it.
Have you prayed today?
Got prayer?
Just do it.

Rejoice in hope; endure in affliction; persevere in prayer. Romans 12:12
Prayer joined to sacrifice constitutes the most powerful force in human history.
St. John Paul II
I have a mustard seed; and I am not afraid to use it. (Habeo granum sinapis quod uti non timeo)
Pope Benedict XVI
But I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a direct war, a direct killing, direct murder by the mother herself."
St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
