Living our faith in plain and humble service to Jesus, Our Lord and Savior ... ORA ET LABORA +++ Sentire cum Ecclesia (to think and to feel with the Church)
Rejoice in hope; endure in affliction; persevere in prayer. Romans 12:12
Prayer joined to sacrifice constitutes the most powerful force in human history.
St. John Paul II
I have a mustard seed; and I am not afraid to use it. (Habeo granum sinapis quod uti non timeo)
Pope Benedict XVI
But I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a direct war, a direct killing, direct murder by the mother herself."

The Tragedy
Generally I prefer to be a person of encouragement and hope. Yet upon encountering some nuns who were protesting the Iraq War and carrying signs saying: "4000 and counting" I was very tempted to give them some more grim statistics.
During the time we have been in Iraq 7.5 million victims have been tortured and murdered, having their arms and limbs torn from their bodies and then beheaded. They did not volunteer for dangerous service as our military have done. No, they were innocent; killed because they were simply unwanted. 7.5 million babies lost their lives during the time we have been in Iraq because of abortion.
This picture is of a unborn infant's hand holding the finger of the surgeon who is performing an intrauterine surgery. It is a beautiful testimony to the life cradled and sheltered within a mother.
Let us pray that our new President's heart will be changed and he stops supporting abortion with our tax dollars. We must all pray assiduously that this genocide is no longer supported by our government.
That's me away to pray.
