Millennialists? End Times?

The other day a comment from a stranger had me back to the books looking up the beliefs of "millennialism" and eschatologists. Plain Catholics do not worry about whether it is the end of the world or about Christ's return. We do grow and can our food; hunt, and fish but it is always for the coming winter and for the present nutritional necessaries. Ours is a life of seeking the simplest solution without expensive means. We dedicate our energies in discerning and following God's Will in the NOW, the PRESENT and entrust ourselves to God for the future. We full well understand that eschatology is an exercise in hypotheses for in Matthew 24:36 we read
So it is Plain Catholics seek to separate ourselves not just from societal immorality but also from societal fear, trusting that God will protect and guide us as promised in Luke 12:
4 I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body but after that can do no more.
5 I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the power to cast into Gehenna; yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one.
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins? Yet not one of them has escaped the notice of God.
7 Even the hairs of your head have all been counted. Do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.
8 I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God.
9 But whoever denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God.

and Psalm 91
9 You have the LORD for your refuge; you have made the Most High your stronghold.
10 No evil shall befall you, no affliction come near your tent.
11 For God commands the angels to guard you in all your ways.

Let us walk with Our Lord in a spirit of hope, not fear.
That's me away.

As long as He holds my hand, what need have I too fear. Of course sometimes fear will try to creep in but we mustn't let it. Wonderful post dear friend. Thanks as always for your sweet comments on my blog.

For my part, I just this day found out there are plain Catholics & I'm a cradle Catholic! This is exciting for me since I"ve been sure that the Lord's been calling me to re-evaluate my (suburban) lifestyle for the last several yrs. I am esp happy to see that you're committed to following the Church's teachings. God bless.

Thank you so much for this instruction on the "end of the world is coming" mentality. I've been startled by it often and am well assured by your words. Thank you very much, Francis

Matthew 5:16 So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
